  • Ribbon Menu > [Base] Tab > [Library] Group > Assembly > Assign

Addition can be made to the table using the Add button only after selecting the assembly unit, the layout/segment as well as matching the guide path and the sub layout.

  • Assembly Unit Table / Assembly Unit Selection

    • Assembly Unit Table : Displays the table with segments with assigned assembly unites.


Tab

  • Assembly Unit
    Select a unit to assign to a layout among the existing assembly units.

  • [Define Path]
    Select the path to use when assigning assembly units.

    • Single Segment : Selects one segment. Few segments can be selected from the entire layout.

    • Multiple Segments : Selects multiple segments. A few segments can be selected from the entire layout, but it is also possible to select mutiple segments continuously.

    • Whole Layout : Selects the entire layout.

Placement can only occur when the number of Default and Connected Spaces match the number of segments in the layout.

  • [Direction]

    • From Start : Assign the Assembly Unit in the direction of the path start point to the end point.

    • From End : Assign the Assembly Unit in the direction from the path end point to the start point.

  • [Alignment]
    Set the orientation when the Constraint Plane in the Default Space or the Connected Space is placed in a layout.

  • Tangential : The Constraint Plane in the Assembly Unit is placed in a direction perpendicular to the layout.

  • Parallel : The Constraint Plane in the Assembly Unit is placed in the Global Z direction.

  • [Preview Level]
    Sets the style of the Preview while assigning.

Guide Path Tab

  • Match between Guide Paths Switch
    Selected Assembly Unit

 

Sub-Layout Tab

  • Match Independent Space to Sub-Layout Switch
    This option is enabled if an Independent Space exists in the selected Assembly Unit. If set to Off, objects bound to the Independent Space within the Assembly Unit are excluded from being assigned. On ther other hand, if set to On, objects bound to the Independent Space can be assigned to the Base mode by matching the Independent Space and the SubLayout.

  • [Select Independent Space]
    Select the Independent Space to assign to the Sub-Layout. Only the Independent Spaces in the selected Assembly Unit are printed to the list.

  • [Select Sub-Layout]
    Select the Sub-Layout to assign independetnt spaces.

  • [Alignment (Independent Space)]
    Set the placement orientation when the Constraint Plane in the Independent Space is placed in the Sub-Layout.

  • Tangential : The Constraint Plane is placed in a direction perpendicular to the sub-layout.

  • Parallel : The Constraint Plane is placed in the Global Z direction.

 


Tab

  • [Structure Matching]
    When set to On, the structure properties defined in the Assembly Library Mode is matched to the structure properties defined in the Base Mode. Hence, this is a function that allows the structure properties of the members in the Assembly Library Mode to be also used in Base Mode.

    • Library Structure : Select the structure with structure properties defined in the Assembly Library Mode to use in Base mode.

    • Table : Select the structure property in Base mode to match the structure property selected above.
