Explanation
Distance Method
This method detemines the split locations by entering the distance.
[Select Target]
Select the target object to split.[Distance]
Sets the split location by entering the distance from the starting point of the member.
Ratio Method
This method detemines the split locations by entering a ratio for the whole length.

Select the target object to split.[Ratio]
Sets the split location by entering a ratio for the whole length.
Number of Divisions Method
This method determines the split locations by entering the number of objects to create from the split.

Select the target object to split.[Number of Divisions]
Sets multiple split locations by entering the number of split intervals.
Sub Shape(Face/Edge) Method
This method determines the split location by selecting an existing Face or Edge object.

Sets the intersection face as the intersection reference by selecting a face or an edge (Sub Shape).

[Option]
Infinite Tool : This tool assumes the tool object to be an object that is infinitely extended. The example on the left assumes the selected face to be an infinite plane.
