Splits 1D Wire and 1D Member objects into multiple objects.

 

How to Run


  • Ribbon Menu > [Edit] Tab > [Edit Edge] Group > Split

 

Explanation


Distance Method

This method detemines the split locations by entering the distance.

  • [Select Target]
    Select the target object to split.

  • [Distance]
    Sets the split location by entering the distance from the starting point of the member.

 

 

Ratio Method

This method detemines the split locations by entering a ratio for the whole length.

  • [Select Target]
    Select the target object to split.

  • [Ratio]
    Sets the split location by entering a ratio for the whole length.

 

 

Number of Divisions Method

This method determines the split locations by entering the number of objects to create from the split.

  • [Select Target]
    Select the target object to split.

  • [Number of Divisions]
    Sets multiple split locations by entering the number of split intervals.

 

 

Sub Shape(Face/Edge) Method

This method determines the split location by selecting an existing Face or Edge object.

  • [Select Target]
    Select the target object to split.

  • [Select Tool]
    Sets the intersection face as the intersection reference by selecting a face or an edge (Sub Shape).

  • [Option]

    • Infinite Tool : This tool assumes the tool object to be an object that is infinitely extended. The example on the left assumes the selected face to be an infinite plane.

 

 

Body(Sheet/Wire) Method

This method determines the split location by selecting an existing Body object.

  • [Select Target]
    Select the target object to split.

  • [Select Tool]
    Sets the split location by selecting the Body object that intersects with the target object to split.

 

 

By Draw Method

This method determines the split locations by defining a new line.

  • [Select Target]
    Select the target object to split.

  • [Select Tool]
    Sets the split location by using the Sketch tool.
