Stiffener Property

Stiffener Property

Summary

  • View or edit property information for classification, geometry, analysis, quantity settings of the Stiffener Group.

  • The property information of the stiffener is identical for both transverse and longitudinal stiffener.

How to Run

  • Select the Stiffener Group on the screen.

Explanation

Common Tab

  • [Classification]
Sets the classification properties of the stiffener group.

    • Name : Enter the name of the stiffener group.

    • Material Type : Select the material type of the stiffener group.

    • Material : Set the material of the stiffener group.

  • [Plane Alignment]
Sets the constraint reference point of the Stiffener(Start/End) Plane.

    • Ref. Point (Start/End) : Select the starting point/center point/end point above the geometric line of the target member and use when recreating the rebar group.

  • When the stiffener group is recreated, the start and end planes of the stiffener group are also recreated from the constraint reference points set by the user.

    • Start Point : The start point of the Target Member Geometric line

    • Middle Point : The middle point of the Target Member Geometric line

    • End Point : The end point of the Target Member Geometric line

  • If the user changes the Plane Alignment settings, the information is saved based on the following rules:

    • If the Plane Alignment settings in the same mode are changed: The plane position of the stiffener group does not change. The distance from the plane to the new Ref. Point is changed internally.

    • When recreating a target member (Geometric line changes, Library assignment, etc.) : The stiffener group is recreated using the direction information and the distance between the Ref. Point and the plane.

  • [Arrangement]
Sets the spacing for the stiffeners.

  • User Defined : Arrange the stiffeners using user-defined spacing.

    • Ex)  3@200, 400, 5@150

  • Adjustable Spacing : Arrange the stiffeners using the entered spacing.

    • First Spacing : Arrange the stiffeners using the entered spacing, and then adjust from the first spacing.

    • Last Spacing : Arrange the stiffeners using the entered spacing, and then adjust from the last spacing.

    • Middle Spacing : Arrange the stiffeners using the entered spacing, and then adjust from the middle spacing.

    • First/Last Spacing : Arrange the stiffeners using the entered spacing, and then adjust base on equidistant spacing between the first and last spacing.

  • Number of Stiffeners : Arrage the stiffeners using the number of rebars entered.

  • Uniform Max. Spacing : Arrage the stiffeners at equal spacing.

  • Pattern Spacing : Arrange according to the entered spacing. Do not arrange for any remaining values less than the entered spacing.

  • [Actual Spacing]
Displays the actual spacing used to arrange the stiffeners.

Section Tab

  • [Section]
Select the stiffener section shape. Enter the dimension for each section shape.

    • Flat : Height, Thickness

    • Angle : Height, Width, Web thickness, Flange thickness

    • T-section : Height, Width, Web thickness, Flange thickness

    • I-section : Height, Width1∙2, Web thickness, Flange thickness1∙2

    • U-section : Height, Width1∙2, Thickness, Rounding radius

  • Section Block is activated for Transverse Stiffener and Longitudinal Stiffener, and Thickness setting is activated instead of Section for Closed Stiffener.

  • [End Shape]
Set the detailed geometry of the stiffener.

    • Differenct Start/End Shape : Sets whether the detailed shape settings at the start and end points are applied.

    • Fitting : Sets the angle at the start and end points of the tranverse stiffener.

    • Cutting : Sets the detailed geometry above the start and end points of the Flat, T-Section stiffener, etc.

      • Fitting Type is set to Auto

        • Flat Type : Chamfer / Fillet

        • T-Section, Angle, I-Section : Chamfer / Scallop

      • Fitting Type is not set to Auto

        • All Type(Except U-Section) : Chamfer / Fillet

    • Hole : Sets the detailed geometry below the start and end points of the Flat, Angle, T-Section stiffener. (Chamfer / Scallop)

  • Differenct Start/End Shape

    • Off : The detailed shape settings at the start and end points are applied together.

    • On : The detailed shape settings at the start and end points are applied individually. This enables the Start/End Point Tab button.

  • Fitting

    • None : The stiffener is created in the normal direction of the edge set by the user.

    • Auto : The stiffener is created in the normal direction of the closest edge from the edge set by the user.

    • User Defined : The user enters the angle manually to create the stiffener.

    • Horizontal : The stiffener is created by adjusting the angle horizontally on the Draw Plane.

    • Vertical : The stiffener is created by adjusting the angle vertically on the Draw Plane.

  • Cutting

    • Chamfer

    • Fillet

    • Scallop

  • Hole

    • Chamfer

    • Scallop

  • [Plane Offset]
Sets the cover property that adjusts the position of the stiffener group in the member.

    • From Start/End Plane : Enter the stiffener cover thickness from the start and end planes.

  • [Length Offset]
Adjust the extension length at both ends of the stiffener.

    • From Start/End Point : Enter the extension length at the start and end of the stiffener. Enter a positive (+) value to shorten, and a negative (-) value to extend.

Closed stiffeners cannot be set to Length Offset.
