Explanation

Common Tab

Edit the Bolt Group properties and placement information.

  • [Classification]
    Set the Bolt Group properties.

    • Name : Enter the name of the bolt group.

    • Bolt Type : Displays the bolt typel.

    • Bolt List : Select the bolt type to place. Only bolts defined in Bolt (Define) can be placed.

  • [Embeded Length]
    Set the nut location.

  • [Direction 1]

    • [Direction]
Angle : When the angle from Plane X-axis is selected, enter the angle to the x-axis of the local coordinate system to set direction 1 of the bolt arrangement.
Direction : At the reference point of the bolt group placement defined in Create, select whether the bolts are positioned in both directions on in a single direction.

    • [Arrangement]
Enter the spacing between the bolt in Direction 1 or the number of segments created by the bolts.

Set Direction 1 for the bolt arrangement.

  • Angle from Plane x-Axis (Default) : When the angle from Plane X-axis is selected, enter the angle to the x-axis of the local coordinate system to set direction 1 of the bolt arrangement.

  • Direction Vector on Plane : Appears when Direction Vector on Plane is selected, click on the Enter Vector button and select the start and end points on the screen to set Direction 1 for the bolt arragement.

Enter the spacing or the number of spacing in which the bolts are placed in Direction 1.

  • User Defined (Default) : Set the number and spacing between bolts in Direction 1 to be input based on the reference point of the bolt group placement set in Create. (Follow the format: ‘Number @ Spacing.’. Ex. 3@0.2m)

  • Pattern Spacing : Set the spacing between bolts in Direction 1 to be input based on the reference point of the bolt group placement set in Create. (Maximum number of bolts that can be put into the interval are inserted.)

  • Uniform Divisions : Enter the number of segments created by the bolts in Direction 1 based on the reference point of the bolt group placement set in Create.

  • [Direction 2]

    • [Direction]
Direction : Select whether the bolts are positioned on both sides or on one side in Direction 2 from the reference point of the bolt group placement set in Create.

    • [Arrangement]
Enter the the number of spacing at which bolts are placed or the number of segments in Direction 2.

Set Direction 2 for the bolt arrangement.

  • Linear : Orthogonal to Direction 1 (Default) : Set the direction of Direction 2 of the bolt arrangement to be perpendicular to Direction 1 of the bolt arrangement.

  • Linear : Angle from Direction 1 : Set the direction of Direction 2 using the angle from Direction 1 of the bolt arrangement.

Linear : If ‘Angle from Direction 1’ is selected, an input box for the Angle appears, and use the entered angle value to set the direction of Direction 2 for the bolt arrangement.

  • Linear : Direction Vector on Plane : Click the Enter Vector button to select the start and end point on the screen to set the direction of Direction 2.

Linear : If ‘Direction Vector on Plane’ is selected, an input box for the Direction Vector appears, and use the entered vector direction to set the direction of Direction 2 for the bolt arrangement.

  • Angular : The bolt is placed based on the reference point of the bolt group placement defined in Create, and the direction of Direction 1.

Enter the spacing or the number of spacing in which the bolts are placed in Direction 2.

  • User Defined (Default) : Set the number and spacing between bolts in Direction 2 to be input based on the reference point of the bolt group placement set in Create. (Follow the format: ‘Number @ Spacing.’. Ex. 3@0.2m)

  • Pattern Spacing : Set the spacing between bolts in Direction 2 to be input based on the reference point of the bolt group placement set in Create. (Maximum number of bolts that can be put into the interval are inserted.)

  • Uniform Divisions : Enter the number of segments created by the bolts in Direction 2 based on the reference point of the bolt group placement set in Create.
