Explanation


There are two methods to create manholes in a diaphragm.
[Select Vertex] & [Select Edge]

Create diaphragm manholes using the Select Vertex method.

  • [Draw Type]
    Select the method to create the manhole.

    • Select Vertex

  • [Select Vertex]
    Select the vertex of the Closed Stiffener.
    The selected vertex will be the origin point where the manhole is created.

  • [Location]
    Horizontal (Start)
    When a positive value is entered, the preview of the manhole will appear to the right of the selected vertex.
    When a negative value is entered, the preview of the manhole will appear to the left of the selected vertex.
    Vertex (Start)
    When a positive value is entered, the preview of the manhole will appear above the selected vertex.
    When a negative value is entered, the preview of the manhole will appear below the selected vertex.

 

 

 

  • Point
    Click the arrow to directly set the creation location of the manhole using the point method.

Method to Create Diaphragm Manholes [Select Edge]

Select edges to create a closed diaphragm manhole.

  • [Draw Type]
    Select the method to create the manhole.

    • Select Edge

  • [Select Edge]
    Select the edges of the Closed Stiffener.
    Select four or more edges to create a closed diaphragm manhole.

 

 

 

  • [Offset Distance]
    Enter the offset distance from the selected edge.
    When selecting multiple edges, enter the offset distances in a counterclockwise order.

     

  • [Fillet]
    Enter the specifications for the fillet formation of the manhole.
