Q. I would like to extract the analysis model as an mct file.
A. In the Analysis Mode, the object can be created as an Analysis case and then exported through Analysis > midas Civil under the Application tab.
The feature selects a case, among the many analysis cases defined in the Analysis Mode, that is used in the analysis model and exports it as an external (*.mct) file.
Let’s look at the example below.
1) Select Define under Analysis Case > Define.
2) Select the member to export in the Define tab. => 1D / 2D Member & Link elements can be selected.
► When exporting to an analysis file, 1D members are linked to 1D frame elements and 2D members are linked to 2D plate elements.
► The Plate Line defined in the User Section of the 1D member can be linked to a 2D Plate member.
3) Defines the element division when analyzing 1D/2D Members. => Provides the (Division / Length) option.
4) Select Civil under Application > Analysis > Civil.
5) Select an Analysis Case from the Analysis Case List.
=> An Analysis Case is defined as a Case when all or some modeling is selected and analyzed.
6) A *.mct file is created for midas Civil integration.

The thickness can be set according to the changes in the section when setting the Plate Line.
Example of exporting a 2D element using the Plate Line of a 1D Member - Tapered Thickness Check On
