Plate Line

Summary

  • Create a Plate Line to create a 2D analysis model.

  • When a member is created, the Plate Line is created together with the 2D analysis model.

Ā

How to Run

[User Section Mode]

  • Ribbon Menu > [User Section] Tab > [Shape] Group > Plate Line

Ā

Explanation

Create a Plate Line with constant thickness

Create a Plate Line with the same thickness at the start and end points.

  • [Plate Line Table]
A list of registered Plate Lines appears where the position can be modified or deleted.

When creating tapered section members with different profiles, the following Plate Line rulles must be followed:

  • The number of Plate Lines needs to be the same.

  • The 2D analysis model is created by matching each Plate Line registered in Profile > Plate Line Table to the Profile according to order.

  • [Tapered Thickness]
Select whether to apply a tapered thickness. It is set to Off.

    • Off : Applies the same thickness to the start and end points.

    • On : Applies a different thickness to the start and end points.

  • [Thickness]
Enter the thickness to apply to the Plate Line.

  • [Method]
Select the method to define the Plate Line.

  • By Draw : Create a Plate Line by drawing the Plate Line directly.

Reference - Sketch

  • By Select : Select the created line to create a plate line.
