Constraint Plane Property

Summary

  • Confirm or edit the property information of a Constraint Plane.

How to Run

  • Select the Constraint Plane on the screen

Explanation

Common Tab

  • [Classification]
Confirm or edit the classification properties of a Constraint object.

    • Name : Name

    • Object Type : Object Type

  • [Location]
Confirm or edit the placement location of the Constraint Plane inside the Default Constraint Path.

    • Parameter : Set whether or not to link parameters.

      • When None is selected, the value is directly entered without interlocking parameters.

      • When selecting a parameter, the corresponding parameter and value are interlocked.

    • Value : Enter a location from the Default Constraint Path starting point.

  • [Alignment]
Confirm or edit the calculation method of the Constraint Plane according to the length changes of the Default Constraint Path.

Sets the method of recalling the position of the created Constraint Plane.

Along the 10m Default Constraint Path shown above, a point offset by 3m from the left is set as the location for the Constraint Plane. This can be compared with position of the constraint plane offset by 6m along a 20m default constraint path.

  • By Ratio (Default) : Recalls the position of the Constraint Plane by ratio of the total length.

Since the ratio between the distance to the constraint plane and the total length is set at 30%, the plane is positioned at 6m from the start point.

  • By Distance - Start Point : Recalls the position of the Constraint Plane by distance from the start point.

Since the distance from the start point is set at 3m, the Constraint Plane is positioned at 3m from the start point.

  • By Distance - End Point : Recalls the position of the Constraint Plane by distance from the end point.

Since the distance from the end point is set at 7m, the Constraint Plane is positioned at 7m from the end point.

  • By Distance - User Defined : Recalls the position of the Constraint Plane by distance from the point defined by the user.

Once the user defined value is set to 0.5, a light blue node appear virtually, and remembers the position of the Constraint Plane by distance to this light blue node. In this case, since the position 2m from the user defined point is rememebered, the Constraint Plane will be placed 2m from the user defined point.

  • [Skew]

    • Reference Point : The point to be used as a reference for the degree of rotation is determined when the constraint plane is rotated with skew together.

    • Rotation Angle

      • Angle of Ref. : The corresponding constraint plane is rotated and positioned by the skew angle entered to the selected reference point.

      • Parallel to Ref. : The corresponding constraint plane is rotated and positioned so that it is parallel with the reference point.

  • [Geometry]
Confirm the geometric properties of an object.
