Tendon Group (Setting)

  • After defining the Tendon Group to create and edit a Tendon, enter the Tendon Editor function.

Explanation


By Coordinates Method Tendon Group Setting (Create new)

Define a Tendon Group to create a Tendon using the By Coordinates method.

 

[Tab] Setting

  • [Select Tendon Group]
    Select the Tendon group. A new Tendon group can be created or an existing Tendon group can be selected.

  • [Classification]
    Enter the name of the tendon group.

  • [Method]
    Select By Coordinates for the Tendon group.

    • By Coordinates : Creates a tendon using the coordinate input method.

    • Profile Combination : Generates a tendon with a Tendon Profile combination.

  • [Define Path]
    Select the Tendon Path that is used as reference for the progress direction of the Tendon group.

    Multiple tendon paths can be selected, but tendons can be created only if the the selected path is continuous.

    • Reverse Start Point : Switch the start and end points of the selected Tendon Path.

  • Base Mode

    • By Edge : Selects an Edge to designates it as the Tendon Path.

    • By Segment : Selects a Layout Segment and designates it as the Tendon Path.

    • By Layout : Specifies a Layout as the Tendon Path.

  • Curve Library / Assembly Unit

    • Set a Constraint Path and designate it as Tendon Path.

  • Point Library

    • Select an Edge to designate it as Tendon Path.

  • [Reference Member]
    Select a member to use as a reference for the shape when creating a tendon group.

  • [Y-Direction of Section]
    When entering the Tendon Editor, set the Y axis of the member section as the reference axis.

  • [Add Tendon Group]
    Enter the Tendon Editor.

 

Profile Combination Method Tendon Group Setting (Create new)

Define a Tendon Group to create a Tendon using the Profile Combination method.

 

[Tab] Setting

  • [Select Tendon Group]
    Select a Tendon group. A new Tendon group can be created or an existing Tendon group can be selected.

  • [Classification]
    Type the name of the tendon group.

  • [Method]
    Select the Profile Combination for the Tendon group.

    • By Coordinates : Creates a tendon using the coordinate input method.

    • Profile Combination : Creates a tendon using a Tendon Profile combination.

  • The Profile Combination method is only available for Curve Library, Assembly Unit.

  • [Tendon Profile Group]
    Select the Tendon Profile Group.

  • [Constraint Path (Top)]
    Select a Tendon Path that is the reference for the progress direction of the tendon group as well as the reference for the top longitudinal coordinates.

    • Reverse Start Point : Switch the start and end points of the selected Tendon Path.

  • Curve Library / Assembly Unit

    • Set Constraint Path to Tendon Path.

  • [Constraint Path (Bottom)]
    Select the Tendon Path that is the lower reference for the longitudinal coordinates. Two approaches are provided.

    • Constraint Path : Select the Constraint Path and designate it as the bottom path of Tendon.

    • Auto Function : Select Auto Function to designate as the bottom path of Tendon.

  • The Constraint Path (Bottom) must be longer than the Constraint Path (Top).

  • For the Auto Function method, the Auto Function must be defined in the Auto Function function in that mode.

  • [Reference Member]
    Select a member to use as a reference for the shape when creating a tendon group.

  • [Y-Direction of Section]
    When entering the Tendon Editor, set the Y axis of the member section as the reference axis.

  • [Add Tendon Group]
    Enter the Tendon Editor.

 

Enter the Tendon Editor (editing)

Enter the Tendon Editor to edit an existing Tendon group.

  • [Select Tendon Group]
    Select an existing Tendon Group.

  • [Select Reference Member]
    Sets (reset) the feature reference member.

  • [Modify Tendon Group]
    Enter the Tendon Editor to edit the corresponding Tendon group.
