Auto Function
Summary
This is a function for repeated use of a single user-defined section as another dimension section of the same shape.
This function allows the repeated use of single curve library as another dimension library of the same shape.
How to Run
[Curve Library Mode]
Ribbon Menu > [Curve Library] Tab > [Parameter] Group > Parameter > Auto Function
[Assembly Unit Mode]
Ribbon Menu > [Assembly Unit] Tab > [Parameter] Group > Parameter > Auto Function
Explanation
Auto Function Feature in Curve Library Mode
Link functions to the parameters of user-defined sections in the curve library.
To use the Auto Function function, the corresponding Path-Linked Entities need to be created as tapered.
[Type]
If New is selected : Creates new Auto Function.
If an existing Auto Function is selected : Changes the setting values of the existing Auto Function.
[Classification]
Name : Set the name of the Auto Function.
[Select Constraint Plane]
Select the Constraint Plane to link with the Auto Function. The parameter values of the user section located on the selected Constraint Plane are linked to the Auto Function function.
The constraint plane that is selected as a subject for the Auto Function cannot be changed after the Auto Function is created. To change it, the previously created Auto Function must be deleted first and then recreated.
[Link Function to Parameter]
Target : Sets the target to link to the function. For the Curve Library Mode, the user section can be selected in the current mode.
Parameter : Sets the default parameters registered to the target to be linked with the function. The parameter values of the selected section changes according to the offset value in the table.
The DCM conditions (Ref Line, Dimension, Constraint conditions) must be set in advance in the userdefined section on the constraint plane to select targets and parameters.
Table
Location : Displays the location of the corresponding Constraint Plane.
Offset : Enter a value for the parameters of the user-defined section located on the corresponding Constraint Plane.
Variation Type : Set the function type of how the parameter value changes between the corresponding plane and the plane next to it.
Order : Enabled when Polynomial is selected as the Variation Type, the option can be used to enter the polynomial order.
Convexity : Enabled when Linear is selected as the Variation Type, the option can be used to reverse the orientation of the concave and convex direction using On/Off.
