Parameter Shape Change(Curve Library, Assembly Unit)

Summary

  • Defines the default and constraint parameters for the current mode.

  • Changes the value of the parameter in the current mode or the constraint parameter defined in the sub mode.

How to Run

[Curve Library Mode]

  • Ribbon Menu > [Curve Library] Tab > [Parameter] Group > Parameter

[Assembly Unit Mode]

  • Ribbon Menu > [Assembly Unit] Tab > [Parameter] Group > Parameter

Explanation

  • [Constrained Parameter]
Set the parameters to display in the Constrained Parameter table in the Edit Parameter dialog box.

    • Current Mode Parameter : The constraint parameters defined in the current mode are output to the constrained parameter table.

    • Assigned Parameter : The constraint parameters defined in the submode and assigned to the current mode are output to the constrained parameter table. The select target button appears when setting the assigned parameter, and the type of target that can be selected depends on the current mode.

  • The type of target that can be selected depends on the current mode, and the types are as follows.

  • Point Library Mode

    • (Constrained to Constraint (Array) Point) General Member

  • Curve Library Mode

    • (Constrained to Constraint (Array) Point) General Member

    • Path Linked Entity

  • Assembly Unit Mode

    • (Constrained to Constraint (Array) Point) General Member

    • Path Linked Entity

    • Assigned Point Library

    • Assigned Curve Library

  • The base parameter is a group that displays the base parameters defined in the current mode and one of this group exists in each library.

  • In contrast, for the constraint parameter, there are two types: the current mode parameter group that outputs the constraint parameters created in the current mode, and the assigned parameter group that outputs base parameters created in the submode.

  • Each library has one current mode parameter group, and the constraint parameters can be created based on the base parameters created in the current mode.

  • Assigned Parameters have as many groups as the number of objects created using submode components. The Base Parameter in the used submode is automatically output to the Constraint Parameter block.

    • For example, if the path linked entity created using the user-defined section in the curve library, the base parameter of the user-defined section is displayed as constraint parameters.

  • When the Point Library that uses the User Section is used in Assembly Unit Mode, the parameter is output to the table as shown above.

  • [Edit Parameter]
Click the button to open the Edit Parameter dialog box.

Change Library Shape Using Assigned Parameter – Parameter Feature

Modify the shape by changing the value of the default parameters defined in submode in the parent mode.

For the current Curve Library and Assembly Unit, there are no targets that can be associated with the default parameters and the Current Mode Parameter constraint parameters that must be created in the current mode. It only supports changing the shape by modifying the values of the default parameters defined in submode.

  • Table

    • Type : Enter the type of parameter.

    • Parameter Name : The name of the parameter set in the submode is displayed.

    • Equation : If Functional is set to On, the Equation field is activated and the function with the variable name in the default parameter can be used. Through this, multiple parameters can be calculated automatically by using a single default parameter value.

    • Length : For parameters with type set to "Length" in the submode, the Length text box is enabled and the length can be entered.

    • Angle : For parameters with type set to "Angle" in the submode, the Angle text box is enabled and the length can be entered.

    • Coordinate : For parameters with type set to "Coordinate" in the submode, the Length text box is enabled and the coordinates can be entered.

If Functional is set to On, the Equation field is enabled and the input box for Length/Angle/Coordinate are disabled. In other words, if Functional is set to On, the values cannot be entered manually and the values must be set indirectly through equations using base parameters.
