How to Run

  • Ribbon Menu > [Model] Tab > [Analysis] Group > Link > Rigid

Explanation

Vertex to Vertex

This feature creates a rigid link by setting a vertex dependent to another vertex.

  • [Method]
    Select vertex to vertex.

  • [Select Target]

Set the degree of freedom of the selected slave vertex dependent to the master vertex.

  • [Degrees of Freedom]
Select the type of degree of freedom to apply to the master vertex.

    • Rigid : Select rigid properties.

    • User Defined : Select user defined degree of freedom.

Vertex to 1D Member

This feature creates a rigid link by setting a vertex dependent to a 1D member.

  • [Method]
Select the Vertex to 1D Member.

  • [Select Target]

Select a vertex and the 1D member.

  • [Degrees of Freedom]
Select the type of degree of freedom to apply to the master vertex.

    • Rigid : Rigid properties

    • User Defined : Select user defined degree of freedom.

  • [Master Point]

    • Select whether the vertex or the 1D member is the master.

1D Member to 2D Member

This feature creates a rigid link by setting a 1D member dependent to a 2D member.

  • [Method]
Select the 1D Member to 2D Member.

  • [Select Target]

    Select a 1D member and a 2D member.

  • [Define Direction]
Set the direction of the rigid link.

    • Shortest Direction : The shortest distance between two object.

    • Direction Vector : Enter the direction manually.

  • [Degrees of Freedom]
Select the type of degree of freedom to apply to the master vertex.

    • Rigid : Select rigid properties.

    • User Defined : Select user defined degree of freedom.

  • [Master Point]

    • Select whether the 1D member or the 2D member is the master.
