Explanation


Create Vertical Column

Define a point to create a steel column.

  • [Column Type]
    Set the column type.

    • Vertical Column : Create a column standing in the Z direction.

    • General Column : Create a column standing in any direction.

  • [Column Height]
    Enter the column height.

  • [Define Location]

    • Point(Single Point) : Select a method to create a steel column. Select a point to create a vertical steel column at that point.

    • Point(Center of Points) : Select a method to create a steel column. Select multiple points to create steel columns at each point.

  • [Preview Level]
    Sets the style of the Preview during the construction process.

Create General Column

Define a line to create a steel column.

  • [Column Type]
    Set the column type.

    • Vertical Column : Create a column standing in the Z direction.

    • General Column : Create a column standing in any direction.

  • [Draw / Select Edge]

    • By Draw : Select a method to create a steel column. Construct a line to create a steel column along that line.

    • By Select : Select a method to create a steel column. Select an edge to create a steel column along that edge.

Using the By Select method, a steel column can be created by selecting a predefined 2D Wire (Feature) as shown below.
