Explanation

Create Constraints

Creates a constraint on the selected Vertex, Reference Line, or Edge.

This function selects the type of constraint.

  • [Constraint Type]

    • Fixed :

      • A constraint that requires the Origin of the selected Vertex or Reference Line to be fixed at its original position.

    • Horizontal :

      • Constraint that requires the selected Edge to be horizontally oriented.

    • Vertical :

      • Constraint that requires the selected edge to be oriented vertically.

    • Parallel :

      • Constraint that the selected edge must be parallel to the Reference Line.

    • Perpendicular :

      • Constraint that the selected edge must be perpendicular to the Reference Line.

    • Tangent

      • Constraint that the selected arc(Circle, Circle Arc, Ellipse, Elipse Arc) must be tangent to the contact edge.

    • Collinear :

      • Constraint that the selected edge must be above the Reference Line.

    • Coincident :

      • Constraint that the selected Vertex must be above the Reference Line.

  • [Select Vertex]

The target objects for the Fixed constraint are the Origin Point of the Reference Line and the vertices of the section and the center of the Arc Edge.

Vertices are selected by dragging the mouse, and the selected vertices can be viewed in the Vertex List.

Clicking on an object in the list highlights the corresponding vertex, even if it is nested, and provides a highlight of the original object so that it can be selected or excluded after confirmation by the user.

Only horizontal edges are selected as targets for the Horizontal constraint. Even if the entire section is selected by mouse dragging, only the horizontal edges are automatically selected.

Target 1 in a Parallel constraint can select either a Reference Line or an Edge, and Target 2 can select either a Reference Line or an Edge parallel to Target 1.

Target 1 in the Perpendicular constraint can select either a Reference Line or an Edge, and Target 2 can select either a Reference Line or an Edge perpendicular to Target 1.

  • Target 1, Target 2 Edge with either/or

    • Line / Polyline Edge / Reference Line / Plate Line(Line)

  • Edge with both Target 1 and Target 2

    • Circle / Circle Arc / Ellipse / Ellipse Arc / Plate Line(Arc, Semi-Ellipse)

At least one of the two Targets must be an Arc (Circle, Circle Arc, Ellipse, Ellipse Arc) to be contact constrained.
