Overview of Functions
Splits 1D objects at arbitrary locations relative to the start and end points.
Details of Functions
Generate Tab
Type
Various types of splitting are provided.
Distance : Splits by the distance away from the viewpoint of the 1D object.
Ratio : Splits by the percentage of the object from the viewpoint.
Number of Divisions : Divides the 1D object by the number of divisions entered.
Sub Shape(Face/Edge) : Splits based on the intersection with the Tool object of sub shape (face / edge) type.
Body(sheet/wire) : Splits based on the intersection with the Tool object of the Body (sheet / wire) type.
By Draw : Splits based on the intersection with a hand drawn tool object.
Select target
Select the targeted object (1D).
Generate
Displayed when Type is Distance / Ratio / Number of division
Select Tool
Displayed when Type is Sub shape (face / edge)
Displayed when Type is Body (sheet / wire)
Draw Tool
Displayed when Type is By draw
Option
Reverse direction : When checked On, the selected path is reversed in the negative direction (end point → start point).
Infinite tool : When checked on, the tool object of sub shape (face / edge) type is extended infinitely to execute the function.
Delete tool : When checked, the tool object of body type is deleted after carrying out its function.
