Calculate the Area of Cross Section View

Summary


  • This function provides the ability to print earthwork volume calculations and Summary tables in Excel based on the earthwork quantity table created in the create cross-section view function.
    Additionally, when calculating the earthwork quantity, a function is provided to exclude earthwork deduction sections, such as bridge or tunnel sections, from the earthwork quantity by entering them.

 

How to Run


[CIM View Mode]

  • Ribbon Menu > [INFRA-DESIGN] Tab > Cross Section View > Calculate the Area of Cross Section View [EVC]

Run the Calculate the Area of Cross Section View [EVC] command or execute the Calculate the Area of Cross Section View function in the Cross Section View of the INFRA-DESIGN menu tab.

  • [Command]
    Execute Calculate the Area of Cross Section View from the tree menu or enter the shortcut key EVC in the command window.

Option to select Layout

  • Select Layout :
    Select the layout from which to calculate the earthwork quantity.
    The start point, end point, and length information below are automatically entered based on linear information.

 

 

This is an option to enter bridge and tunnel segments to be excluded from earthwork quantity calculation.

  • Name : Enter a name for the bridge or tunnel segment.

  • Start Point : Enter the start point of the bridge or tunnel segment to be excluded from earthwork quantity calculation.

  • End Point : Enter the end point of the bridge or tunnel segment to be excluded from earthwork quantity calculation.

  • Length : It is automatically calculated based on the entered start and end point information.

  • Additional Segment List : You can check the list of added bridge and tunnel segments in this table.

 

 

Additional setup options

  • Earth Work Conversion Factor :
    Cutting quantity requires a volume conversion factor because the volume in compacted state must be entered in the earthwork quantity table.

 

 

  • Create Earth Work Calculation :
    Export an Excel file consisting of [cover + earthwork volume summary table + earthwork volume detailed calculation information].

  • Create Earth Work Summary Table :
    Export the SUM of each item of earthwork volume detail properties.
