Q. I want to extract the analysis model as an mct file.
A. After creating an object as an Analysis case in Analysis Mode, it can be extracted through Analysis > midas Civil in the Application tab.
This is a function to select a case extracted as an analysis model among a number of analysis cases defined in Analysis Mode and extract it as an external file (*.mct).
Let's take a look at the example below.
1) Select Analysis Case > Define.
In the Define tab, select the member to export. => You can select 1D / 2D Member & Link elements.
► When exporting to an analysis file, 1D Member is linked with 1D Frame element and 2D Member is linked with 2D Plate element.
► When defining Plate Line in User Section of 1D Member, it can be linked with 2D Plate element.
Define element division when analyzing 1D / 2D member. => (Division / Length) option.
Select Application > Analysis > Civil.
Select the desired Analysis Case from the Analysis Case List.
=> Analysis Case is defined as a case where all or part of modeling is selected and analyzed (Case).
A *.mct file for interworking with midas Civil is created.

When setting the plate line, it is possible to set the thickness according to the section change.
Example of 2D Element Export using Plate Line of 1D Member - Tapered Thickness Check On
