Summary


This function creates a parent shape by extracting a child shape in a specific direction.

How to Run


  • Ribbon Menu > [Feature] Tab > [Generate] Group > Extude

Explanation


Create a Parent Shape Using the Extrude Feature

Extrude the child shape to create a parent shape.

  • [Select Target]
    Select the object to use to create the parent shape. Edges and surfaces can be selected.

  • [Define Direction]
    Set the direction of extrusion.

    • Normal : Extrude in the normal direction of the object.

    • Direction Vector : Set the extrusion direction manually.

    • Offset : Extrude in the offset direction that considers the object shape.

 Define Direction Details
  • This is the difference in the result of defining the Direction in three different ways for the surface viewed from above.

  • [Protrusion Length]
    Enter the extrusion length. Enter Direction 1 and 2 to extrude in both directions.

  • [Twist Angle]
    Extract the extraction end section by rotating it as much as the user enter for the extraction start section.
