Summary

CAD ID is connected with CIM via real-time interworking.

The model is modified in CIM and updates are delivered to CAD ID; furthermore, only the view that the user wants to update on CAD ID can be selectively updated by reflecting the latest model changes.

Changes when Updated

When Drafter's View is updated, the following items are also reflected.

  • Changes in CIM's model

  • Changes in CIM’s View

  • CAD ID's Style Changes

  • View of CIM Mode referenced in CAD Mode

  • Material List (Rebar Schedule, Steel Member Table, Tendon Coordinate Table, etc).

Update Process

CAD ID's View Update is updated through the following process.

Step 1 : CIM > Application> CAD ID Function Execution

After creating or modifying the model in CIM, execute the Application > Update function to deliver the update to CAD ID.

  • Operation status after calling CAD ID from CIM

    • Before CAD ID execution :
      CAD ID is executed, and the [CONNECTED] message is displayed in green at the top center of the product.

    • Executing linkage with CAD ID :
      In the CAD ID Command window, the [_SYNCDB] message linking data is displayed after the [_UPDATEFILE] message.
      After executing the Update function in CIM, it returns to CAD ID.

① Update all views :
All views connected to CIM in CAD ID are updated.
(If there are many linked sections, the update time may increase because the entire section is updated.)

② Right-click a view and update the selected view :
Only the view selected on the screen is updated.

③ Right-click the view in the tree and update it :
Single or Multi-selected View in the tree is updated.
