Details

Create Connected Space

This feature creates and changes the Connected Space that is linked to the Default Space.

  • [Type]

    • Connected : This feature creates the Connected Space that is continuously linked to the Default Space. New connected spaces can be created, or settings of existing connected spaces can be modified.

    • If New is selected : A new Connected Space is created.

    • If Existing Connected Space is selected : Setting values of the existing Connected Space can be modified.

  • [Classification]
Enter the classification information of the connected space.

    • Space Order : Outputs the connection order of the corresponding Connected Space. The order is set automatically and cannot be modified.

    • Space Name : Enter the name of the Connected Space.

  • [Space Setting]
Sets the properties of the corresponding Connected Space.

    • Unit Length : Sets the length of the Connected Space.

    • Align Type : Sets the placement direction when the Constraint Plane of the corresponding Connected Space is assigned to the parent mode (Base mode).

      • Tangential : When assigned, the direction is set vertical to the layout and segment.

      • Parallel : When assigned, the direction is set to the Global-Z axis direction.

      • Auto. : The direction of placement is not set, and applies the alignment value set when assigned.

  • [Total Length]
Appears when the Connected Space is selected, and the total length of the Connected Space is output.

  • Remove Space button
This button that removes the corresponding Connected Space appears when the existing Connected Space is selected. Connected Spaces in the middle cannot be removed as the button is activated only when the last Connected Space is selected. In addition, Connected Spaces included in the Dependent Spaces can be removed once the corresponding Dependent Space is removed.

Info

Connected Spaces corresponds to the segments in the Base mode layout. To assign the Assembly Unit, equal number of segments as the Connected Space need to be included in the layout.

Create Dependent Space

This feature newly creates and changes the Dependent Space that relies on the Default Space and the Connected Space.

Info

This feature can be utilized when the same library or Path-Linked Entity is assigned to multiple Connected Spaces. For example, if different girders are chosen for differnet spans on a bridge but identical slab dimensions are used, a Dependent Space can be created to which the library with the slab can be assigned to create the model.

  • [Type]

    • Dependent : This feature creates the Dependent Space that depends on the Default and Connected Space. When a Dependent Space is created, a space to depend on needs to be selected so the length of the corresponding space governs the length of the Dependent Space. New Independent Spaces can be created or setting values of existing Independent Space can be changed.

    • If New is selected : A new Dependent Space is created.

    • If Existing Connected Space is selected : Setting values of the existing Dependent Space can be modified.

  • [Classification]
Enter the classification information of the Dependent Space.

    • Space Name : Enter the name of the Dependent Space.

  • [Space Setting]
The properties of the corresponding Dependent Space are set here.

    • Range (From) / Range (To) : Sets the range of Spaces to include for the created Dependency Space. Only the Default Space and the Connected Space is output to the list.

    • Align Type : Sets the placement direction when the Constraint Plane of the corresponding Linked Space is assigned to the parent mode (Base mode).

      • Tangential : When assigned, the direction is set vertical to the layout and segment.

      • Parallel : When assigned, the direction is set to the Global-Z axis direction.

      • Auto. : The direction of placement is not set, and applies the alignment value set when assigned.

  • Remove Space Button
The Remove Space Button appears when an existing Dependent Space is selected and is used to remove the selected Dependent Space.

Creating an Independent Space

This feature newly creates and changes an Independent Space that is independent of the Default Space.

  • [Type]

    • Independent : This is a feature that creates a Connected Space with the desired length and at the desired location that is independent of the Default Space. New Independent Spaces can be created or setting values of existing Independent Space can be changed.

    • If New is selected : New Independent Space is created.

    • If Existing Independent Space is selected : Setting values of the existing Independent Space can be modified.

  • [Classification]
The classification information of the Independent Space is entered here.

    • Space Name : Name of the Independent Space is entered here.

  • [Space Setting]
The properties of the corresponding Independent Space are set here.

    • Unit Length : Length of the Independent Space is set.

    • Align Type : Sets the placement direction when the Constraint Plane of the corresponding Independent Space is assigned to the parent mode (Base mode).

      • Tangential : When assigned, the direction is set vertical to the layout and segment.

      • Parallel : When assigned, the direction is set to the Global-Z axis direction.

      • Auto. : The direction of placement is not set, and applies the alignment value set when assigned.

  • [Start Point]
Independent Space의 시작 점 위치를 지정합니다.

  • [Direction]
Independent Space의 진행 방향을 출력하여 보여줍니다. 현재 Direction 방향은 수정할 수 없습니다.

  • Remove Space Button
The Remove Space Button appears when an existing Independent Space is selected and is used to remove the selected Independent Space.

Info

Independent Spaces correspond to the sub-layouts in the base mode. The sub-layout needs to be considered when assigning the Assembly Unit.
