Figure 1. Mode Types in CIM

CIM consists of 9 Modes that are centered around the Base Mode.

Each Mode consists of a different workscreen and panel for the user to model in an optimal environment.

In each mode, the user can return to the Base Mode by saving and exiting the current mode.

There are two types of CIM storage systems: Saving the entire work in Base Mode in the form of a cimz file and exporting the entire work to the Library.

A working CIM file can be saved in Base Mode through the Save/Save as button under the File menu or through the keyboard shortcut [ Ctrl + S ]/[ Ctrl + Shift + S ].

When the working file is saved in Base Mode, all operations including drawing/analysis/construction animation/cutting view/sub-library/layout are saved.

Q. Can I save the Library file separately?

A. In the Library, you can use the export/import feature to save/import the library separately.

CIM allows you to export and save working CIM files as well as libraries separately.

By exporting and maintaining library files separately, the user can utilize the saved libraries for other projects to model faster and easier.

The exported library also contains the sub-library as well as the section information (User Section) and the drawing information (Drawing View).
