Feature Summary

Set the 2.5D Dimension in the Information Mode. If this dimension is set, if the section update occurs, the 2.5D dimension is also updated according to the section.

With the 2.5D Dimension, the user can input dimensions on the 3D projected section created from CIM.

Linear 2.5D Dimension [Shortcut command: LD2]: Draws a linear 2.5D dimension line in Iso View.

Aligned 2.5D Dimension [Shortcut command: AD2]: Draw an aligned 2.5D dimension line in Iso View.

Feature Explanation

Generate Drawing > 2.5D Dimension > Linear / Aligned 2.5D Dimension

Configuration of Iso View

On how to create an Iso View, refer to CIM's Drawing View generation method. [Named View]

  • Drafter's Iso View displays the 3D coordinate system on the angle viewed to create the View in the lower left corner. This GUI can be used as a reference when measuring the axial Delta value of the current member.

  • In Generate Drawing > Style > Concrete Member Style, select Hide Invisible Lines in 3D to make the invisible edge lines not appear in the Iso View

How to use Linear 2.5D Dimension

Set the distance value to be displayed → Specify the first auxiliary point → Specify the second auxiliary point → Enter the slope angle.

  • Distance: Based on two points on the object, the 3-dimensional straight line distance is expressed as a dimension value.

  • Delta-X: Expresses the amount of change in the X-axis value as a dimension value based on two points on the object.

  • Delta-Y: Expresses the amount of change in the Y-axis value as a dimension value based on two points on the object.

  • Delta-Z: Expresses the amount of change in the Z-axis value as a dimension value based on two points on the object.

How to use Aligned 2.5D Dimension

Linear Dimension is used to express the value of the dimension line horizontally or vertically.

Use Aligned Dimension when the value of the dimension line is not horizontal or vertical.
