Explanation

Create Dimension (Linear)

Use the parametric feature to create fixed dimensions to use in the process of changing the section geometry. This creates a fixed dimension in the X-axis or Y-axis direction.

  • [Dimension Type]
    Linear Type : Fixed dimensions in a direction parallel to the X-axis or Y-axis.

    • Direction
      Sets the direction in which dimensions are created.

      • Horizontal : Horizontal direction with respect to the X-axis.

      • Vertical : Vertical direction with respect to the X-axis.

    • Variation
      Sets the direction in which the section shape changes based on the changes in the dimension values.

      • Start to End : Target 1 position is fixed and Targe 2 position changes.

      • End to Start : Target 2 position is fixed and Targe 1 position changes.

  • [Select Target]
    Select the target objects (Reference Line, Edge, Vertex) to create dimension for on the screen.

 Detailed Explanation (Select Target)

Target 2 can be selected according to the Target 1 as shown below.

If Edge is selected as Target 1, then Target 2 cannot be selected. In this case, the length in the direction of the Local Y axis (when Horizontal is set) or Local Z axis (when Vertical is set) is determined by the fixed dimension.

Create Dimension (Aligned)

Use the parametric feature to create fixed dimensions to use in the process of changing the section geometry. This creates a fixed dimension in the direction of the shortest distance between two targets.

  • [Dimension Type]
    Aligned Type : Fixed dimensions in a direction not parallel to the X-axis or Y-axis.

    • Variation
      Sets the direction in which the section shape changes based on the changes in the dimension values.

      • Start to End : Target 1 position is fixed and Targe 2 position changes.

      • End to Start : Target 2 position is fixed and Targe 1 position changes.

  • [Select Target]
    Select the target objects (Reference Line, Edge, Vertex) to create dimension for on the screen.

Use the parametric feature to create fixed dimensions to use in the process of changing the section geometry. Sets the radius of the arc shaped edge as a fixed dimension.

  • [Dimension Type]
    Radial Type : Fixed dimension of the radius.

  • [Select Target]
    Select the target objects to create dimension for on the screen. Only arc shaped edges can be selected.
