Summary

Drafter's Save File is saved and integrated with CIM's file. Therefore, the extension file of CIM, a cimz file, can be open and used in Drafter without running CIM.

Drafter operates based on DWG format. However, if the user saves the work as a project unit, the file is saved in a file format called mdwg.

File Open

Opens the cimz or mdwg file, which is a CIM file format.

  • Open Project: Opens the CIM file format, cimz or mdwg. When an mdwg file is opened, there is no interworking relationship with CIM. If cimz is opened, the user can edit the style of the drawing that is linked with the CIM, but the user cannot change the shape of the object. For example, the shape of the rebar or the shape of the section should be modified by opening CIM, modifying the model in CIM, and updating the model in Drafter, so this is only possible when CIM is running.

If the user opens the same cimz file in CIM while cimz is open in Drafter, it is recommended to run after closing Drafter.

In the case of a cimz file already opened in CIM, the file cannot be opened separately in Drafter.

In order to have a real-time interworking relationship between CIM and Drafter, the user must first open the cimz file in CIM and run Drafter through CIM.

File Save

If you press Ctrl+S or execute File > Save Project while working in Drafter, it will be integrated into cimz and saved.

  • Save Project: Save Drafter File by integrating into CIM's file format, cimz.

  • Save project as Save as mdwg file, a Drafter-only format that has no connection with CIM.

File Export

Export the currently working project as a DWG file, image file, or KML file.

  • Export as current window file: Exports: the currently open window in dwg file format.

  • Export to Windows DWG file: Exports: all windows existing in the current mode as dwg file format.

  • Export sheet as DWG file: Exports as a dwg file by sheet unit. Available only when Sheet is defined.

  • Export current window as KML: Exports the currently open window in KML file format.
