[IFC] Improvements to IFC Data Mapping function and IFC Export

In V190, with the addition of new functions of Data Field and IFC Data Mapping, a function has been added to define property information and Property Set (Pset) to each object.

In particular, the effects of adding the IFC Data Mapping function and improving IFC Export will be important functions for configuring and ensuring compatibility with the BIM information system.

Please refer to the video and manual for detailed information.

  • Improvements to IFC Data Mapping function and IFC Export
    (Video: 11:20 ~ 12:44)

  • Manual Link : Data(Field & IFC Mapping) / IFC File Export

[IFC] Added IFC Import option [Attempt Editable Object Conversion]

When importing an IFC file, the poly mesh shape of the original object is converted to a solid object to the maximum extent possible for the import.

Please refer to the video and manual for detailed information.

[Lab] New Laboratory Category for Experimental Features

[Lab] Added Functionality for Layout-Based Assignment in Point Library

A new feature has been added to directly assign the Point Library based on a layout. This feature enhances efficiency and precision in assignment based on the direction of the layout.

For detailed information, please refer to the video and manual.

[Analysis] Analysis Line creation
- Improved mutli-selection in Define Path
- Enhanced performance in automatically extracting analysis
cross-section
- Added option for automatically tracking discontinuous edges

The capabilities of the Analysis Line function have been improved in V190.

When creating a single element, you can select multiple paths by using the 'By Select' method in Define Path.
This allows you to create Analysis Lines in batches, eliminating repetitive tasks.

In the existing Multiple Elements function, the user had to manually enter the location where the cross-section changes to create an Analysis Line.
However, the enhanced Analysis Line feature can now automatically input the position where the cross-section changes.

Please refer to the video and manual for detailed information.

  • Improved mutli-selection in Define Path  (Video: 03 : 08 ~ 03 : 24)

  • Added option for automatically tracking discontinuous edges
    (Video: 05 : 12 ~ 05 : 39)

  • Enhanced performance in automatically extracting analysis cross-section
    (Video: 06 : 24 ~ 06 : 50)

  • Manual Link : Analysis Line

[Stiffener] Closed Stiffener Scallop function added

The Scallop and Chamfer options have been included in the properties to define the detailed shape of the Closed Stiffener

Please refer to the manual for detailed information.

[Convenience] Added WorkTree Category Filter Feature

A new feature has been added that allows filtering the composition of the WorkTree. With the Category Filter, you can differentiate between Object / Data / Entity and apply filter conditions for each category.

For detailed information, please refer to the video and manual.

[Convenience] Image Capture function added

Images modeled in CIM can be used in reports, etc. directly using the high-resolution image capture function without a separate image capture program.

[Execution] : File Menu → Export → Capture

Please refer to the manual for detailed information.

[View] Added Freeze (In)valid Feature

A new feature has been added that allows selecting the validity of the Freeze state. Now, objects in the Freeze state can be designated as targets for functions such as Select Tool/Target and Extrude.

Freeze Valid State: Objects in the Freeze state cannot be selected. Freeze Invalid State: All objects can be selected regardless of the Freeze status.

You can switch between these states through right-click, the icon at the top, or the shortcut Alt + Space.

For detailed information, please refer to the video and manual.

[Rebar] Add stirrup direction setting option

Previously, the Start Point of stirrup rebar could only be set when it was first created.

In V190, ‘Switch Start Point’ was added to the Stirrup Property Tab, allowing the direction to be changed after creating the rebar.

For detailed information, please refer to the video and manual.

[Function improvement]

[Guide Path] Creation speed improved

[View] Improved Show / Lock / Freeze

[Convenience] Improvement and expansion of shortcut keys

In V190, shortcut keys have been improved for modeling convenience, and shortcut key settings for Feature / Edit functions have been significantly expanded.

Please refer to the manual for detailed information.

This is a new feature of MIDAS CAD INFRA-DESIGN

Added Cross Section View
(Earthwork quantity table, Setting bench cut, Setting slope) creation function

Added earthwork quantity table modification function

Added earthwork quantity calculation function (Two-section average method)

In MIDAS CAD INFRA-DESIGN, cross-sectional views are created according to the cross-sectional view creation information set in MIDAS CIM, and a cross-section earthwork volume table creation function that can calculate earthwork volume has been added.

The cut and fill amounts linked to the model are automatically calculated and displayed in a table format, and an environment has been created where quantities that must be calculated separately and manually can be customized and entered into the earthwork volume table.

This earthwork volume information can be converted into data to support the calculation of the average quantity of two sections and also to derive the quantity corresponding to a bridge or tunnel section.

You can check the quantity results by generating an earthwork volume calculation and tally table in Excel format.

Please refer to the video and manual for more details.

  • Added Cross Section View (Earthwork quantity table, Setting bench cut, Setting slope) creation function
    (Video: 00 : 00 ~ 03 : 45)
Added earthwork quantity table modification function
    (Video: 03 : 45 ~ 04 : 40)
Added earthwork quantity calculation function (Two-section average method)
    (Video: 04 : 40 ~ 07 : 07)

  • Manual Link : Cross Section View

"Sectional Property Calculator (SPC)” function added

A new S.P.C. function has been added to MIDAS CAD INFRA-DESIGN, which calculates cross-sectional characteristics and links it with MIDAS CIVIL.

With the same function as MIDAS CIVIL's Sectional Property Calculator, you can now create and modify objects directly in MIDAS CAD INFRA-DESIGN to calculate sectional properties and link them directly with MIDAS CIVIL.

Please refer to the video and manual for detailed information.
