By Layout (2D View)

Summary

  • This is the function to define the 2D view section of Section / Plan / Side based on the CIM 3D model assigned to the alignment in Base Mode.

In particular, it is specialized in the function of continuously creating sections at regular intervals based on a alignment, and an earthwork quantity table can be additionally created from CAD ID by using the section created with By Layout.

How to Run

  • Base Mode [By Layout]

    • Ribbon Menu > [Application] Tab > [Drawing] Group > Drawing view > By Layout

Explanation

How to use By Layout define a cross section

This is the process of defining a cross section to be drawn with a CAD ID so that the cross section can be created using the By Layout function.

  • [Execute]
The By Layout function in Base Mode can be executed in the Drawing view of the [Drawing] group under the [Application] tab.

The condition for executing the function is that the model must be assigned to the Base Mode with the layout.

  • Run CAD ID
If you click the OK or Apply button after defining the By Plane function, this function calls up the CAD ID immediately.

  • View Type
    Determine the view type.
You can define a 2D View section by dividing it into Section / Plan / Side.

  • Classification

    • Auto Name
If the option is activated, when defining multiple cross sections, the names of the cross sections are automatically serialized according to the preset settings.

    • Prefix
Defines the name used at the beginning of the name of the section.

    • Preset
Select an ending rule with a preset name.

    • Postfix
Defines the starting point of the name end of the section.

    • Name
It shows in advance the name of the cross section that will be determined through the above rules.

      • Depending on the Preset setting, select a number format such as 1-1 / -1 and then enter a number in Postfix. A name that is a combination of Prefix and Postfix will appear.

      • Depending on the preset settings, select an English format such as A-A / a-a / -A / -a and then enter numbers from 1 to 24 in Postfix, and the name will be displayed in alphabetical order.

  • Define Path
Choose a method for defining the view.

    • By 1Point
Pick a point on the layout to define the section view.

  • Define Path
Choose a method for defining the view.

    • By Segment
Select Segment to define the section view.

    • By Layout
Select Layout to define the section view.

  • Alignment
When Segment and Layout are selected, Parallel and Tangential Types where the cross-sectional configuration is parallel or orthogonal are supported.

  • View Point
Specify the view point location when By Segment or By Layout is selected.

    • Method : Determines how to position the view point.

      • By Ratio
When Segment and Layout are selected, enter the Ratio value to Add or Modify the section view.

      • By Length
When Segment and Layout are selected, enter the length value to Add or Modify the section view.

        • Start / End Offset : Enter the distance to separate from the start or end point of Segment and Layout.

        • Interval Length : Enter the length value to repeat.

      • By Division
When Segment and Layout are selected, a cross-sectional view is created that divides the number of divisions entered.

      • User Defined
When Segment and Layout are selected, a cross-sectional view is created by applying the length value entered by the user.
When entering consecutive values, you can apply the repetition symbol “@” and the “,” symbol to define the next value.
        Example) 5@10, 5 m

  • View Depth
Define the visible range in front and behind the section view.

  • Cutting Area
Defines the size of the cross section.

  • Rotation Narmal Direction
Set the section view angle to the normal direction of the layout progress direction
