How to Run

  • Select the 1D Concrete Member on the screen.

 

Explanation

Common Tab

  • [Classification]
    View or edit the classification properties of the object.

    • ID : Unique Number

    • Name : Name

    • Member Type : Member Type

    • Material : Material

Member Type Properties

  • [Geometry]
    Displays the geometry properties of the object.

Geometry Properties

 

Section Tab

  • [Tapered Section]
    Sets whether side sections are applied.

  • [Section]
    Sets section information.

    • Section Type : : Sets the type of section shape.

    • Preview Section Shape

      • Preview : Shows the actual section shape based on the input dimensions.

      • Guide : Check the dimensions using the illustration.

      • Uniform Scale : This option only appears for Tapered Section members, and when set to On, the preview will display based on the dimensional differences between the start and end sections.

  • [Local Axis]
    Set the position and direction of the section based on the geometry line of the member.

    • Cardinal Point : Sets the position where the section will be placed with respect to the geometry line of the member.

    • Beta Angle : Sets the direction of the section that will be placed with respect to the geometry line of the member.

Sets the position where the section will be placed with respect to the member geometry. Using the options in the drop-down menu, the member geometry can be placed as shown in the illustration below.

 

The member geometry needs to exist first for the placement of the section at the start and end points of the geometry.

 

If different Cardinal Point settings for a section are set after placing member geometries at the same interval, the result of this is shown above. The red dots indicate the location of the geometry, and each figure represents the option selected from the Cardinal Point drop-down menu.

Sets the direction of the section that will be placed with respect to the member geometry. The figures below shows the effect of different Beta Angle values applied to sections with same Cardinal Point properties.

  • [Additional Offset]
    Enter additional offset from the analysis line that has been positioned based on the cardinal point settings.

  • [Shape Variation]
    Sets the type of change in the line that connects the start and end sections.
