Summary

Drafter is connected with CIM via real-time interworking. The model is modified in CIM and updates are delivered to Drafter; furthermore, only the view that the user wants to update on Drafter can be selectively updated by reflecting the latest model changes.

Update View

Update Process

Drafter's View Update is updated through the following process.

Step 1 : CIM > Application> midas Drafter Function Execution

After creating or modifying the model in CIM, execute the Application > Update function to deliver the update to Drafter.


  • Process Details

Before Drafter: Drafter executed.

Drafter running: Drafter icon blinking.

If there are no modifications in CIM, the Drafter icon does not blink even if the Sync Drafter function is executed.

If the user wants to forcibly send all CIM updates to Drafter, click Application > midas Drafter > Update All button.

Step 2: Drafter > Create drawing > Update all views / Right-click a view and update the selected view / Right-click the view in the tree and update it

After executing the Updater Drawing function in CIM, return to Drafter.


  • Process Details

    • Execute all view update features: All views connected to CIM in Drafter are updated.

    • Right-click on a view and update the selected view: Only the view selected on the screen is updated.

    • Execute Update by right-clicking on the tree: Single or Multi-selected View in the tree is updated.

If the view the user does not want to update is updated, the user can revert it by using the Ctrl+Z command. If the user multi-selects an item other than the View in the Tree menu, it will not be updated.

Changes when Updated

When Drafter's View is updated, the following items are also reflected.

  • Changes in CIM's model

  • Changes in CIM’s View

  • Drafter's Style Changes

  • View of CIM Mode referenced in CAD Mode

  • Material List (rebar material table, steel material table, Tendon coordinates, etc).

  • No labels
