Summary


This function creates a parent shape by extracting a child shape in a specific direction.

How to Run


  • Ribbon Menu > [Feature] Tab > [Generate] Group > Sweep

Explanation


Create a Parent Shape Using the Sweep Feature

Sweep the child shape along a specified path to create a parent shape.

  • [Selection Filter]
    Select the type of the target to use when using the Sweep feature.

  • [Select Target]
    Select the target object. Only objects in the Selection Filter can be selected.

  • [Select Path]
    Select the sweep path. Consecutive edges that do not overlap or intersect can be selected.

  • [Edit Path]
    Set additional settings for the sweep path.

    • Edit Start Point : Sets the start point to use as a reference for the path.

    • Reverse Direction : Reverses the direction of the path.

 Edit Path Preperties
  • [Protrusion Length]
    Enter the sweep length. The length cannot be greater than the maximum length of the path.

  • [Twist Angle]
    Extract the extraction end section by rotating it as much as the user enters for the extraction start section.

 Twist Angle Properties
  • [Keep Target Orientation]
    When set to On, the direction of the target section is set relative to the path.
