A. The shortcut keys currently provided by CIM are as follows.

The shortcut keys of midas CIM can be divided into 3 groups for each purpose.

1. Execution of functions

2. Exit/Save Workspace

3. Adjusting View Option

Let's take a look at how the shortcut keys work for each group and their different effects.

In CIM, a specific function can be executed immediately through a shortcut key.

 

● CIM Learning Center homepage: Shortcut key [ F1 ] Executes CIM Learning Center homepage.

● Message Window initialization: Shortcut key [ F5 ] Initializes the command bar at the bottom left of the CIM.

● Import DWG/DXF : Shortcut key [ Ctrl + 1 ] Executes the task window to import DWG/DXF.

● Measure : Shortcut key [ Ctrl + 2 ] Executes the Measure function that can measure distance/angle/coordinate.

● Global Option: Shortcut key [ Ctrl + 3 ] Executes the Global function to set the unit system and Snap.

● View Option: Shortcut key [ Ctrl + 4 ] Executes the View function to set the display and color transparency.

Exit/Save Workspace

 

CIM consists of a total of 9 modes including Base Mode.

As you enter each mode, the top panel is reorganized to work more efficiently.

In order to enter each mode, you can enter by clicking the ribbon menu at the top in Base mode, where CIM is first running.

When entering Mode, not only the reorganization of the upper ribbon menu panel, but also the work screen

It turns into an independent workspace, so if you want to see the previous screen again, or

If you want to return to the previous work screen after completing writing and editing

Select Mode OK / Mode Apply / Mode Cancel through the button at the top left of the work screen.

You can proceed.

● Mode OK : Shortcut key [ Alt + 8 ] Saves the current mode and moves to the upper mode.

● Mode Apply: Shortcut key [ Alt + 9 ] Saves the current mode and maintains the current working state.

● Mode Cancel : Shortcut key [ Alt + 0 ] Cancels the current progress and moves to the upper mode.

The following are shortcut keys for saving and exiting the CIM program and moving back and forth between operations.

 

● Program Off : Shortcut key [ Alt + F4 ] Ends the program.

● Works Tree: Shortcut key [ Alt + ` ] Works Tree appears.

● Save : Shortcut key [ Ctrl + S ] Saves the current file.

● Save as: Shortcut key [ Ctrl + Shift+ S ] Saves the current file as a different name (Save as).

● Undo : Shortcut key [ Ctrl + Z ] Returns to the previous operation. (Undo)

● Redo : Shortcut key [ Ctrl + Y ] Returns to the previous operation. (Redo)


Adjusting View Options

 

When modeling in midas CIM, you can use the shortcut keys to adjust the View Option for efficient modeling.

The following functions work the same in both the 3D work screen (Base Mode, etc.) and the 2D work screen (Rebar Draw Mode, etc.).

 

● Show only : Shortcut key [ F2 ] Hides all objects except the selected object.

● Hide only : Shortcut key [ Ctrl + F2 ] Hides the selected object.

● Show All : Shortcut key [ Ctrl + A ] Shows all objects on the work screen.

● Zoom Fit: Shortcut key [ Ctrl + Space bar ] This is a function to optimize by adjusting only the scale while maintaining the direction of the viewpoint .

● Top Snap/Front Snap/Side snap : Shortcut [ T/F/S ] If you press T/F/S on the keyboard, a Snap based on each Top/Front/Side plane is taken.

● Snap Hold: The snap at the point of pressing the shortcut [Shift] button is held while the button is pressed .

● View Point Hold : The coordinates at the point of time when the shortcut [ Ctrl ] button is pressed are fixed around the object center and rotated.

If you click the mouse wheel,

to view objects from different angles

View options are provided.

The point of view provided here is

All objects are sized to fit inside the screen.

It is automatically adjusted and move the mouse wheel up and down

You can zoom in and out.

● Top Snap/Front Snap/Side snap
shortcut [ T/F/S ]

You can see the current view through the box shape at the bottom right.

The status of the starting point and the status of T/F/S plane and X/Y/Z axes

You can check.

● Snap Hold
shortcut [ Shift ]

Snap is fixed when executing that function

It is separated from the movement of the mouse.

● View Point Hold
shortcut [ Ctrl ]

When [Ctrl + Wheel + Move], the object on which the cursor is placed

rotates around the center.

When the cursor is not over an object

around the point of the last rotation

The viewpoint rotates.


Also, you can use shortcut keys to On/Off and toggle certain options provided by View Option.

● Datum On/Off Shortcut [ Alt + D ] You can turn on or off the reference point.

● If you activate the Perspective On/Off shortcut [ Alt + P ] , the model is expressed more conspicuously by applying a wider angle than the normal angle.

● Display Mode Change Shortcut [ Alt + S ] Shading+Edge/Shading Only/Edge Only Changes three types of Display Modes.
