Create a Parent Shape Using the Extrude Feature

Extrude the child shape to create a parent shape.

  • [Selection Filter]
    Select the type of sub-shape from which to create the parent-shape.

    • Edge : Select edges to create sheet bodies.

    • Face : Select faces to create solid bodies.

    • Sheet Body : Select sheet bodies to create solid bodies.

  • [Select Target]
    Select the object to use to create the parent shape. Edges and surfaces can be selected.

  • [Define Direction]
    Set the direction of extrusion.

    • Normal : Extrude in the normal direction of the object.

    • Direction Vector : Set the extrusion direction manually.

    • Offset : Extrude in the offset direction that considers the object shape.
