Overview of Functions

Info

Create a steel part that follows the path.

Note

Path> Steel part is a part created by extrude section or connection between profiles, and the direction of section and direction of part creation are limited according to the following rules.

- Profiles for Path> Steel parts can only be created in a plane normal to the master line.

- Path> Create paths for steel parts are always parallel to the master line.

The Path> Steel part has the above constraints because it is a part that is used to implement geometry that requires the length to be automatically extended / reduced based on the layout to which the library is assigned.

On/Off Option

Info

Sets whether a cross section member is created.

Set whether to use the User Section.

Define profile plane

Info

Define the plane on which to create the profile.

  • Start of target line : Defines the plane that is normal to the master line as the profile plane at the position spaced in the direction of the end point by the offset value entered from the start point of the master line.

  • End of target line : Defines the plane that is normal to the master line as the profile plane at the position spaced apart from the end point of the master line by the offset value entered.

  • User defined : Defines the plane that is normal to the master line as the profile plane at the position on the master line corresponding to the entered ratio value.

  • Distance from start profile plane* : Defines the plane that is normal to the master line as the profile plane at a distance away from the Start profile plane.
    (Displayed when Tapered member is ON)

User section list

Info

Section shape is created by inserting the registered User Section.

  • 3 points : You can insert General Profile through 3 point click (origin, X axis of profile, Y axis of profile) at the click of a button.

Note

Path> Concrete: Only User Sections with Material type 'Concrete' appear in the list.

Path> Steel: Only User Sections with Material type 'Steel' will appear in the list.

Info

Set the Section’s direction of extraction and input its distance of extraction.

  • Direction : Sets the extraction direction of the profile.

  • Length : Enter the extraction distance of the profile.

Cardinal point

Info

부재의 중심선 위치를 설정합니다Sets the centerline position of the part.

  • Cardinal point : 프로파일의 Bounding box를 기준으로 중심선 위치를 설정합니다Set the centerline position relative to the Bounding box of the profile.

  • Offset-y : 현재 설정되어 있는 Cardinal point로부터 프로파일의 Enter additional distance from the currently set cardinal point in the direction of the profile's Local-y 축 방향으로 추가적인 이격 거리를 입력합니다axis.

  • Offset-z : 현재 설정되어 있는 Cardinal point로부터 프로파일의 Local-z 축 방향으로 추가적인 이격 거리를 입력합니다Enter an additional distance in the direction of the Local-z axis of the profile from the currently set Cardinal point.

  • Define from view : 버튼 클릭 시 프로파일 평면 상의 임의 위치를 클릭하여 Cardinal point를 설정할 수 있습니다At the click of a button, you can click anywhere on the profile plane to set the cardinal point.

Auto matching rule

Info

Set the automatic vertex matching method between start section and end section.

  • Quadrant connection : After matching the reference, vertices of each quadrant, vertices are sequentially matched according to the Loop Sequence of the profile in the direction of 'up → down' and 'left → right'.

  • Quadrant half area : After matching the reference vertices of each quadrant, vertices are sequentially matched within each quadrant, according to the Loop Sequence of the profile.

  • Loop sequence : After matching the reference vertices of the first quadrant , match the vertices sequentially according to the Loop Sequence of the profile.
    However, if the number of vertices of start and end profiles does not match, quadrant half area method is automatically applied.

Note

Since the three methods mentioned above are automatic matching methods based on program rules, the desired vertex matching results that the user might have pursued is not guaranteed.

Therefore, if it is possible to match the number of vertices in the Start profile and End profile through CAD work, then the Loop Sequence Method is recommendable.

Rotate quadrant of end profile

Info

Rotates the End profile of the Quadrant order.

(Only if the auto matching rule is Quadrant connection, Quadrant half area it appears.)

  • Clockwise : Rotates the Quadrant order of the End profile clockwise.

    Counterclockwise : Rotates the quadrant order of the end profile counterclockwise.

Note

The quadrants of the Start and End profiles may be ordered differently than expected by the user's internal rules or the behavior of the General Profile.

The Rotate quadrant of end profile allows you to adjust the order of the quadrants in these situations.

Define shape variation

매칭된 Vertex 간의 연결 형상을 정의합니다Define the connection geometry between matched vertices.

  • Variation origin : 곡선 연결 가능 여부를 판단하기 위한 프로파일 상의 기준점을 설정합니다Set the reference point on the profile to determine whether the curve can be connected.

Note

Variation origin으로부터의 거리가 같은 Vertex Set는 Shape variation의 설정과 무관하게 항상 직선으로 연결됩니다.

예를 들어 아래의 그림은 동일한 프로파일에 대해 Variation origin을 다르게 설정하고 Curve order는 Vertex Sets that have the same distance from the variation origin always connect in a straight line regardless of the shape variation setting.

For example, the figure below shows a part created by setting Variation origin differently and Curve order to '2 (Parabolic)' 로 설정하여 생성한 부재입니다. Start/End 프로파일의 상단 Vertex의 연결 형상을 보면, 왼쪽 부재는 Center-Center로부터의 거리가 다르므로 곡선 연결이 적용되고, 오른쪽 부재는 Center-Top으로부터의 거리가 같으므로(0) Curve order 설정과는 무관하게 직선 연결이 적용되는 것을 확인할 수 있습니다for the same profile. Looking at the connection shape of the upper vertex of the start / end profile, the left member has a different distance from the center-center, so the curved connection is applied, and the right member has the same distance from the center-top (0) You can see that a straight line connection is applied regardless.

(Polynomial 일 경우)

  • Curve order-y : Local y축 방향에 대한 곡선의 차수를 설정합니다Sets the degree of the curve for the y-axis direction.

  • Curve order-z : Local z축 방향에 대한 곡선의 차수를 설정합니다Sets the degree of the curve for the z-axis direction.

(Arc 일 경우)

  • Radius-y : Local y축 방향에 대한 곡선의 반경을 입력합니다Enter the radius of the curve with respect to the y-axis direction.

  • Radius-z : Local z축 방향에 대한 곡선의 반경을 입력합니다Enter the radius of the curve with respect to the z-axis direction.

  • Convexity-y : Local y축 방향에 대해 볼록하게 변화하는 곡선을 적용할 경우 체크합니다Check this to apply a curve that changes convexly about the local y-axis direction.

  • Convexity-z : Local z축 방향에 대해 볼록하게 변화하는 곡선을 적용할 경우 체크합니다.

Note

곡선 형상이 오목, 또는 볼록하게 적용되는 규칙은 아래와 같습니다.

- 오목 : Variation origin으로부터의 거리가 가까운 Vertex의 위치에서 접하는(Tangential) 곡선 형상이 적용됩니다.

- 볼록 : Variation origin으로부터의 거리가 먼 Vertex의 위치에서 접하는(Tangential) 곡선 형상이 적용됩니다
  • Check to apply a curve that changes convexly about the local z-axis direction.

Note

The rules for applying concave or convex curved shapes are shown below.

- Concave : The tangent curve shape is applied at the location of the vertex close to the variation origin.

- Convex : The tangent curve shape is applied at the location of the vertex far from the origin of the variation.
