Overview of Functions
Info |
---|
Create an elastic connection memberlink. Compatible It is compatible with boundary condition elements when exporting analysis models. |
Details of Functions
Create Tab
Select target vertices
Info |
---|
Select the Vertices of two members that will be subordinates subordinated to the start and end points of the elastic link. Elastic links can be defined by subordinating to the Node of a member. |
Start vertex : Select the Vertex of the member to constrain the start point of the elastic link.
End vertex : Select the Vertex of the member to constrain the end point of the elastic link.
Property Tab
Link type
Info |
---|
Select the type of elastic link. |
General : Defines the type of alignment elastic connection.
Rigid : Defines the rigid connection type.
Tension only : Define the type of elastic connection fully concentrating on compression.
Compression only : Define the type of compression connection.
Stiffness
Info |
---|
Define the stiffness for each axis in the element coordinate system. If all stiffnesses are zero, no Elastic link is defined. (The Stiffness option is activated differently depending on Link type.) |
Tx : Stiffness in direction of the x-axis of the element coordinate system
Ty : Stiffness in direction of the y-axis of the element coordinate system
Yz : Stiffness in direction of the z-axis of the element coordinate system
Rx : Rotational stiffness in direction about the x-axis of the element coordinate system
Ry : Rotational stiffness in direction about the y-axis of the element coordinate system
Rz : Rotational stiffness in direction about the z-axis of the element coordinate system

Info |
---|
Define the Beta angle that defines the placement direction of the elastic link. |
